Also, astigmatism can be generated through optic nerve damage by long-term usage of electric equipment. Once the optic nerve is damaged, it is difficult to recover. Additionally, astigmatism can occur by eye problems such as the conical cornea, macular degeneration, cataracts, or glaucoma.

There are three ways to correct astigmatism.

Glasses: it is the most universal way to solve astigmatism.
As the astigmatism correction glasses have a curve on their lens, it might be not that pretty for you or it can make you feel dizzy. So it would require a period of adjustment.

Contact lens: if you feel uncomfortable to wear astigmatic glasses, the contact lens will help you solve astigmatism.
